Mass Effect Pathways: Black Tidess ~ Chapter 11With a sudden shift the Invisible dropped out of FTL, the shrill noise of the drive core falling to its usual low key hum. A barely perceptible shift of balance under her feet was all Ria felt as the ship's thrusters burst to life, carrying the ship towards its destination.Mass Effect Pathways: Black Tidess ~ Chapter 11 by TheWerdna
"Ria, we're approaching the coordinates you gave us. Looks like the station is somewhere in the Nocia's asteroid belt. We've found something, I think you need to see if for yourself," Talena, the ship's pilot, announced.
Stepping down from the galaxy map at the center of the CIC, Ria hurried down the corridor that led to the helm. Talena glanced back over her shoulder as Ria came to a stop behind her chair, the two of them exchanging quick nods.
"I had Core run some scans as we came in. Take a look." The turian turned away to focus on holographic displays as she spoke. She tapped a key, bringing up visuals of their destination.
Peering at the display, Ria's eyes widened as she finally registered wh

Ria wandered aimlessly in a shapeless void.
Everything was silent.
A breeze rushed through the black emptiness, its icy fingers chilling her to the bone. The scene shifted, becoming barren waste of cracked gray earth now. Fog hung like a shroud of over the landscape, obscuring everything in its ethereal haze.
In the distance she could see the silhouettes of a man against the mist. Dread seized her at the sight, yet, as if controlled by a will that was not her own she found herself drawn closer to the shape.
Feet away now, the mists shifted, revealing the pale dead face of a man in bone white armor. Letting out a cry of alarm, Ria staggered back, shaking when she recognized him as the first person she'd been forced to kill.
More figures materialized before her. The Cerberus troops she'd fought on Horizon. Each bore the fatal wounds she had dealt them, blood dripping in pools that watered t

I scanned the room, hoping to find Ashley. Instead, I saw Liara, looking around.
“T’Soni!” I called out, making her turn in our direction.
She headed towards us, “Spartan, thank the Goddess you're here!”
She was now in front of me, her tone flustered, “I'm trying to find Ashley. She got hit.”
“I know, I heard it over the radio. How bad is she wounded?”
She let out a frustrated sigh, “I don't know, Joe! That's why I'm trying to find her!”
Garrus stepped forward, “Did you try raising Mickey or Tali on the comms?”
“Yes, but I couldn't reach them! I'm trying to see if they brought her here!”
I walked off. “Garrus, stay with Liara. I'll help at the frontline.”
On my way there, I brushed past a

"Head to bay D24, Cortez" Shepard said to the pilot. Meanwhile, Ann gave Shem to Ashley and headed to the co-pilot seat. Ann was a savant at flying UT-47 Kodiak shuttles. It was a little cramped, so Saber and I stood while everyone else sat down. Shepard looked over to Ashley, "How's our little crew member doing?" Ash, we started calling her, replied with "Shem is doing great Commander". "Good to hear" Shepard said warmly, probably for the baby's behalf, and looked at me. I had my helmet on, but I swear she looked straight through my visor.
"I suppose you're curious about what we're doing, huh?" Most Spartans keep their emotions to themselves or with their squad members. As for me, I tend to be a little vocal when I'm annoyed. After being kept in the dark for a while, I replied in a cold tone, "Yeah, I am". Shepard didn't seem offended, and she stood up "Well, let's just say you and your team have been reassigned".
"With what?" She reached into her left pocket, pulled out a s
